Viewpoint located next to Cardet dam with good views to Salencar, the village of Barruera and the mountains of Aigüestortes National Park in the background. 

The Salencar (Barruera) is an area cataloged as an Area of ​​Natural Interest and is part of the European Red Natura 2000 program. It is a wet area, wetlands, from a biological point of interest, it is a passage and reception area for migratory birds that come from the north of Europe and move to the south. Discover Salencar de Barruera is to know the capacity of adaptation of nature to phenomena caused either by nature itself or, as in this particular case, by the hand of man, when in the 50s of the last century it was built the Cardet Dam and therefore created a wall in the river where the sediments carried by the water were accumulating. Since then, vegetation typical of wet areas has been growing, such as the rooms, which give number to this space.
