Aigüestortes area
Aigüestortes Plateau
The two areas that take you into the national park within Vall de Boí are Aigüestortes and Cavallers. Aigüestortes is a forest area, crossed by dirt trails that go through forests and meadows. It is an ideal area to hike with the family, particularly the circular route of Aigüestortes, which offers no difficulty whatsoever The area is accessible for those with reduced mobility. It is an itinerary of low difficulty but of great beauty, ideal for children.
For those who want to walk a little further, a simple route would be to continue to Llong Lake at 2000 meters above sea level. The route is practically flat except for the last section before reaching the refuge and the lake. From here, the path climbs towards Redó Lake or Portarró d'Espot, a large pass to the Espot Valley and Sant Maurici Lake.
