Leave Barruera (1.097m) from below the church of Sant Felix (next to the river) and head for the track on the right-hand side of the river going in a southerly direction, following the asphalted track. Cross to the other side of the river over the wooden bridge before you get to the football pitch, and continue in a southerly direction to the wet zone of Salencar.
If you want to extend the route, you can also approach the Cardet dam where we will find another viewpoint.
