Circular route. Road to Sarais, remains of an abandoned village

We leave the Tourist Office in Barruera (1,097 m) in the direction of the church of Sant Feliu (next to the river) and go along the promenade on the right bank of the river in a N direction, following the paved track. We cross the Noguera de Tor by the old stone bridge, and continue to the left along the Durro road for about 200 m, where we have to turn right and take the right path that, between dry stone walls , and always inside the forest, takes us directly to Durro (1,390 m). Coinciding with the Barruera path, we continue without losing height, we go around the mountain, first through meadows and strips and then inside the Obac pine forest, to continue to the south along the sunny slope to the abandoned village of Saraís (1,340 m ). We cross Saraís carefully, due to the poor condition of the houses and leave at its lowest point, taking the path that, in constant descent and with many sections flanked by dry stone walls, leads us to the Pont de Saraís (1,006 m) to make the return by the Way of the Water towards Barruera.
