Inauguration of the Ski Mountaineering World Championships

Sant Climent de Taüll church has gathered this Monday 27 February at 7:00 p.m. the inauguration of the ISMF World Championships Skimo Boí Taüll 2023 that brings together 300 skiers from 27 countries around the world.

Various personalities have participated in this opening ceremony: Regula Meier, president of the International Mountain Ski Federation (ISMF), Toni Segarra, president of Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat de Catalunya (FGC), Sònia Burguera, mayoress of Vall de Boí, Alberto Ayora, president of the Spanish Mountain Sports Federation (FEDME), Josep Casanovas, first vice president of the Federation of Excursionist Entities of Catalonia (FEEC) and Juli Fernàndez i Olivares, Territory Councilor i President of the Organizing Committee.

The ceremony also included the performance of the ZER Alta Ribagorça choir, a parade of flags from the different participating countries, a humorous show and a video mapping.

February 28, the tests begin at the Boí Taüll ski resort: sprint, individual, vertical, relleus and teams.
