Tourism Sustainability Plan
Model, aims and actions
The Plan aims to promote a model of tourism development that is inclusive, sustainable, and intelligent, allowing Vall de Boí to become a global reference for accessible tourism and positioning it as a leading inclusive mountain tourism destination in the Pyrenees.
To achieve this goal, the following flagship projects will be developed:
- Creation of an inclusive tourist experience at the Romanesque ensemble, a UNESCO World Heritage site, aimed at improving universal accessibility for people with different levels of disabilities. This involves designing new tourism products and innovative interpretation mechanisms to enhance the visitor experience.
- Establishment of the Outdoor Park Vall de Boí, a comprehensive project encompassing outdoor sports facilities, activities, and segmented routes based on sports modalities. This will enable a joint projection of the valley's active tourism offerings and coordinated efforts among various stakeholders.
- Implementation of a new sustainable mobility system in the Aigüestortes and Estany de Sant Maurici National Park, using an eco-efficient mode of transportation and an intelligent information system to enhance user experience, safety, and accessibility.
- Development of new tourist infrastructure and products targeted at new audiences, aimed at curbing seasonality. This includes interactive and gamified routes for families and an inclusive network of viewpoints and Starlight experiences.
- Introduction of an intelligent information and marketing system for tourism resources and products, facilitating the deployment of a smart tourism signage plan, a new marketing strategy, and an updated offer commercialization system.
The plan represents a transformation of the current tourism model, leading to greater specialization, diversification, seasonality reduction, and digitization of offerings. This is expected to improve the competitiveness of businesses and generate new economic opportunities for the residents of Vall de Boí.

Survey
From December 27, 2022, to February 19, 2023, we have conducted a survey distributed among all tourism establishments, through the website and social media, to help us understand the needs of our visitors and create experiences accordingly. Approximately 1200 responses have been collected, and among all participants, 2 ski passes for the Boí Taüll ski resort were raffled.
