La Vall de Boí remains committed to a responsible and sustainable tourism model. In 2025, we are renewing our Biosphere certification.

The Biosphere certification is an international recognition granted by the Responsible Tourism Institute (RTI) and endorsed by UNESCO and the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO). This certification ensures that a destination or company aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), promoting a tourism model that respects both the environment and the local community.

At the Vall de Boí Tourist Office, we work to maintain this certification through sustainable best practices.

The Pyrenees and Terres de Lleida have been a Biosphere Destination since 2021, and the Tourism Board of the Diputació de Lleida continues to support this initiative to establish the region as a benchmark for sustainable tourism.
